Aircraft First Aid Kit (FAK)
First aid equipment
First aid equipment is stored in storage containers in various locations throughout the cabin, usually near an exit. In the event of an onboard emergency, the stored equipment is easy to access.
First Aid Kit (FAK)
First aid kits contain medicines for passengers and crew who become ill or who sustain cuts and bruises on the plane. They are stored in various locations on any jet aircraft. The components of each kit are sealed in a waterproof container. Each first aid kit has a shelf life of about one year. There is an "expiration date" stamped on the top of the waterproof container. If the kit is used during a flight, it should be replaced before moving on to the next.
